The Oregon Community Foundation
is a statewide nonprofit organization that administers permanent
charitable funds established through gifts and bequests from
individuals, families, businesses and other organizations.
OCF was established in 1973 by community leaders
who saw the need for a common investment and grant management
vehicle for private charitable gifts.
OCF provides a variety of charitable fund and
gift options to help Oregonians make a difference. We work
with donors to develop their charitable goals and giving.
Through this philanthropic giving, a wide variety of critical
needs in our state are being met each year.
As of 2008, OCF was managing nearly 2,000
funds with assets of more than $1 billion.
In 1998, the financial assets of the Oregon
Trails Coordinating Council were transferred to OCF to establish
the Oregon Historic Trails Fund, dedicated to projects
related to Oregon historic trails
as recognized by the state legislature in ORS 358.075. |
